School Policy

School Policies

Dear CASA Families,

In an effort to continue to build a welcoming, affirming and safe learning community, we would like to take this opportunity to communicate with our families regarding our school-wide policies.  We are asking for your partnership and support in helping our students to understand and follow the school rules listed below.

Morning Arrival - Students are expected to arrive to school daily by 8am.

Lateness – Students who arrive after 8:10am will be marked late.

Cellphones – Students are expected to drop their phones in the phone cart during arrival. The bins are labeled by class and secured in the office until dismissal.

If a student does not adhere to the cell phone policy outlined above, he/she will be required to turn over his/her cell phone when asked to do so by an adult. Failure to do so will result in additional consequences.

Confiscated cell phones will be stored securely in the main office. A member of the school team will notify the student’s parent/guardian that the cell phone has been confiscated. The parent/guardian will be required to come to school for a parent conference at a mutually convenient time between the hours of 8:30am-2:00pm, at which time the cell phone/electronic device will be returned.

Breakfast – Students may eat Breakfast in the Cafeteria from 7:30 am - 8:00 am. Students will not be permitted to eat Breakfast in their classrooms.

Hall Passes – Students must have a pass when they are out of the classroom (bathroom, main office, guidance suite, nurse, etc.).

Conduct Sheet – Some students will be identified by staff to carry a conduct sheet for a week to support them with their behavior. They will be responsible for having their conduct sheet signed everyday by their teachers and parent/guardian. If behavior does not improve at the end of the week, we will have an in-person parent/guardian meeting.

Uniform – Students are expected to come in full uniform every day. We will contact parents when students are not in uniform.

Top – black long/short sleeve polo shirt with logo or CASA black sweater

Bottom – khaki pants or skirt or black sweat pants with CASA logo

Hoodies Are NOT Allowed during the school day.  If it's cold, students may wear a CASA black sweater or a plain black sweater (No Logos, Lettering or Designs)

With Gratitude,

Administration
